It gives you an easy and fast way to handle everything — from the initial setup of your devices to ongoing monitoring. The portal is designed to support all kinds of use cases, from home charging to professional installations and larger setups for fleets, multi-unit buildings, or hotels.

In this article, we’ll show you how to configure and manage go-e wallboxes and track charging data for different users with just a few clicks.

The go-e Portal is designed for a wide range of users, from private individuals to companies operating extensive charging infrastructures. Thanks to its versatile features, the portal can be perfectly adapted to different requirements.

• Companies with wallboxes at their premises that need monitoring and charging data (kWh) for billing purposes. This includes distinguishing between depot vehicles, company cars, and private cars. Individual RFID chips can be registered for different user groups so they can charge at assigned stations. It also becomes easy to charge company cars at employees’ homes and reimburse the electricity costs incurred.

• Installers who want to set up and configure multiple wallboxes at a customer site in the shortest possible time. With the go-e Portal, they can configure local grid settings, OCPP server connections, or load management for an entire group of charging stations at once. Installers also gain access to technical monitoring, which is useful, for example, when a maintenance contract is in place.

• Property managers such as condominium associations, cooperatives, housing companies, or property developers who need to install, manage, and monitor charging stations in multi-unit buildings. • Private users who want to manage their personal wallbox at home. Unlike other user groups, this usually isn’t about managing multiple devices at the group level, but rather a single charger. All familiar app features are available, just in a desktop view.

In the go-e Portal, you can manage, configure, and monitor all your wallboxes in one place, whether you use them privately or across multiple locations. This keeps everything organised and saves time when setting up and maintaining your charging infrastructure.

The portal shows you exactly when, where, and how much was charged in an easy-to-understand format. You can export this data quickly for internal analysis or billing.

Each user can be identified via their own RFID chip, which you can assign to specific wallboxes or groups. This lets you control who is allowed to charge, while charging sessions are automatically linked to the correct person or vehicle. Especially useful for company fleets, guests, and company-car reimbursement.

Thanks to cloud connectivity, you can view your charging points anytime and from anywhere, conveniently through your browser, even on the go. A clearly defined rights and roles system ensures that your data and access remain reliably protected.

As you add more go-e Chargers, the portal allows flexible expansion and easy integration into third-party systems through the following communication protocols:

• OCPP, for connecting external backend systems

• Modbus-TCP, for local dynamic load management

• MQTT, for custom IoT applications and real-time control

• APIs, locally and cloud-based, for integration with almost any API-driven management system

Getting started with the go-e Portal is quick and simple. Just visit portal.go-e.com and register with your email address and a password.

Next, select your role, either as an organisation admin or as a member. After confirming your email, you can begin right away and set up your first devices. You can also be invited by an existing organisation admin if you are joining an existing setup, for example, in a company or a property management environment.

You can add your devices in two ways:

• Manually, using the serial number and the device password from the reset or data card

• An admin can assign one or more devices to you within the organisation

Devices that you add manually appear under “My Devices”. Devices managed through organisations are listed in the corresponding section.
For a go-e Charger to be added, it must be connected via LTE, Wi-Fi, or LAN. Newer models like the Gemini 2.0 or PRO connect automatically via LTE or LAN. Older models, such as the Home+, need to be set up via hotspot in the app first and connected to a Wi-Fi network.

The go-e Portal makes RFID management simple. As long as you are connected to the internet, you can assign any number of chips to one or more wallboxes at the same time via the cloud. This is ideal for companies that want to allow depot vehicles to charge at all locations while limiting private vehicles to selected chargers. You can also organise RFID chips by user groups, create charging reports, or enable home charging with reimbursement of consumed kWh for individual company cars.

As the number of wallboxes grows, the portal supports you with various grouping features. You can group wallboxes by location, business unit, or configuration settings. A single device can belong to multiple groups. You can also configure all chargers in a group at the same time, which saves a lot of time for installers and administrators. This includes configuring load management or connecting to an OCPP server.

Create custom consumption reports for individual wallboxes or for groups of wallboxes, controllers, or RFIDs. By default, reports cover the period from the beginning of the current month to the current day. You can export the data in various formats. This is useful for providing charging data for billing in smaller charging setups or for monitoring in property management, fleet operations, or hotel businesses. These reports are also helpful for manual billing.
