What Makes the go-e Charger Attractive to My Customers?

Full control from the app

Users can start and stop charging, switch between modes, adjust charging currents, or receive push notifications about the charging status in the go-e app. As the design is intuitive, your customers will fully manage it on their own. Charging is also possible without the app.

Money-saving features

Dynamic energy tariffs enable EV owners to schedule charging during periods of lower electricity rates. This is just one of the ways to reduce energy costs with go-e. With PV surplus charging*, the go-e Charger offers users the possibility to become more independent from the grid.

Charging is safe when it is smart

With features like static or dynamic* load balancing, it can be ensured that the wallbox does not draw more power from the home electric system than is available —  that’s how blackouts can be easily avoided. The go-e Charger is also ideal for homes with limited power, as you can easily set a maximum charging limit in the app to match the available capacity. In addition, the go-e Charger includes a DC protection module with DC and AC detection (6 mA DC, 20 mA AC).

* The go-e Charger should be connected to the go-e Controller or other EMS to perform dynamic load balancing and PV surplus charging. Static load balancing is possible without additional components.

Bringing AC Charging Solutions to Perfection

Unlike many other brands that produce wallboxes as just one of many different products, we are fully dedicated to the development of AC chargers. Our team's deep expertise means they can answer various charging-related questions quickly and clearly. They know our products inside out and can quickly understand and address the questions asked by customers. Furthermore, we constantly work on improving our charging solutions, which results in frequent software updates.

Installation of a go-e wallbox is so quick and easy that you will soon be able to do it with your eyes closed. The LEDs around the charger provide clear feedback, showing if everything is working smoothly or if any errors need attention. This intuitive design ensures the end user can easily operate the smart wallbox, resulting in full customer satisfaction.

Our range includes solutions for various customer categories.

While go-e wallboxes from the Gemini and Gemini 2.0 series are suitable for charging private cars at home and on the go, our latest product, the go-e Charger PRO with an MID meter for precise kWh billing, is ideal for charging company cars at home, offering charging at company premises as well as other use cases.

Optimised Energy Management for PV Systems

go-e Chargers work with all kinds of PV systems

You don’t have to check compatibility and worry about the brand of the inverter or the whole PV system when recommending go-e Chargers to your customer. Our products also work with all types of AC electricity storage solutions. And even in systems with DC storage, you can use the go-e Controller and simply adjust a few small settings in the app to ensure that it is not discharged by the electric car.

Phase switching for higher efficiency

By switching between charging phases, users can charge even when solar energy is available in small amounts. The go-e Charger, combined with the go-e Controller, automatically adjusts the charging phases based on the available solar surplus. The car charges with one phase if the surplus is between 1.4 kW and 4.2 kW. For surpluses above 4.2 kW, it switches to three-phase charging.

PV surplus WITH or WITHOUT flexible energy tariffs

The charger will use solar power when available and could switch to the grid when not. In Daily trip mode, users can set the desired kWh amount that must be charged by a specific time, and the go-e Charger will ensure the right amount of energy is consumed efficiently within the time frame. go-e wallbox owners can save costs by combining PV surplus charging with dynamic electricity tariffs. To do this, users must activate the flexible energy tariffs feature in the go-e app and set a price limit per kWh for grid electricity. When surplus solar power is unavailable, the go-e Charger will only charge the electric vehicle if the price is below the set threshold.

Simply integrated load balancing system

When installing a fleet of wallboxes, load balancing is usually what customers request. With go-e Chargers, this is easy to manage, even if wallboxes from another manufacturer are already installed. You can set up static load balancing for multiple go-e Chargers directly in the go-e app. If you also have wallboxes from other brands, our integration partners provide great solutions that connect and control different devices.

Full control through the go-e Portal backend

Our go-e Portal* offers advanced management of charging infrastructure. It enables users to:

  • Configure performance data
  • Manage chargers in different locations
  • Integrate with the OCPP server - compatibility with external management, billing and energy management systems
  • Optimise energy use with load balancing
  • Access real-time status updates and perform remote maintenance
  • Ensure secure access with RFID management
  • Export billing data for easy cost tracking

 * The go-e backend is expected to be available in Q1/2025

Surplus charging is ALWAYS possible with the go-e Charger

If your customer already has an Energy Management System, simply connect it to the go-e wallbox and activate PV surplus charging. If not, charging with solar excess is possible with the go-e Controller — our own Energy Management System — or by using an EMS from one of our integration partners. Alternatively, it can be done with using OCPP, Modbus TCP, or API to connect it to other systems.
Either way, you can confidently say that if your customer has an inverter, PV panels and the entire system, surplus charging is just a matter of minutes you will spend on the quick installation of the go-e Charger.

Mobile go-e Charger Gemini flex for electricians

Unlike a stationary wallbox, requiring professional installation, the mobile go-e Charger Gemini flex (2.0) can simply be plugged into a red CEE socket. It can benefit both you and your customers.
We always recommend checking the home’s electrical system before letting any wallbox draw significant amounts of power from it. As an expert, you can assess whether the system can handle the energy demand and identify any potential issues or limitations (e.g., if charging is only possible up to 11 kW).
Ask your customers about their needs. Do they have a second home or enjoy camping? If so, installing the red CEE socket and buying a mobile charger would offer THEM added flexibility and save YOU a lot of installation work. For those who already have the red CEE socket in place, this solution is even more perfect.

Frequently Asked Questions

The installation process itself should not take more than five minutes. However, additional time may be required for installing an RCD Type A and a miniature circuit breaker on the building side, as well as for laying any additional cables.

In many cases, users can do it themselves. However, a red CEE socket must be installed and it must be ensured that the electrical system in the building is sufficient for drawing higher power. Therefore, we recommend that the electrical installation at which the mobile charging station will be operated be checked by a professional.

Excess solar power can be used for charging if the go-e Charger is combined with the go-e Controller or any other EMS system via the open interfaces.
