go-e Charger PRO CABLE & CORE: All You Need To Know!
It’s finally here - the brand-new wallbox generation from go-e: the go-e Charger PRO CABLE and the go-e Charger CORE.
These smart chargers combine a compact, timeless black design with cutting-edge technology. They’re built for semi-public use - ideal for businesses, fleet managers, company car drivers who charge at home, hotels, and multi-apartment buildings.
The go-e Charger PRO CABLE and the go-e Charger CORE offer all the smart features you already know from go-e – and plenty more on top.
go-e Charger PRO CABLE vs go-e Charger CORE
What’s the difference between the two chargers? The go-e Charger PRO CABLE has one key feature that sets it apart: It includes an integrated MID-compliant energy meter - allowing you to bill charging sessions precisely by kilowatt-hour, even when there’s no separate power connection with a certified meter. In some European countries, that’s a crucial feature to have - in others, it’s not relevant at all. And that’s exactly why we also offer the go-e Charger CORE.
Both chargers come with a 6-metre fixed Type 2 charging cable, and from the year 2026 on, we also plan to release the PRO model with a Type 2 socket option.
go-e Charger CORE
The intelligent charging solution with a modern look and a permanently attached cable. It is easy to install and convenient to use. Key smart features include PV surplus charging, flexible electricity tariffs and more. The wallbox is in accordance with ISO 15118 V2X ready and Plug&Charge ready. Charging power: from 1.4 kW to 11/22 kW, depending on the number of phases (1-phase, 3-phase).
go-e Charger PRO CABLE
The go-e Charger PRO with integrated MID-compliant meter addresses the needs of companies, fleets, and company car drivers who charge at home or apartment buildings, among others. The stationary wallbox with all the smart features you would expect from go-e is also ISO 15118 V2X ready and Plug & Charge ready, offering even more charging convenience and efficiency gains with these innovations. Charging power: from 1.4 kW to 11/22 kW depending on the number of phases (1-phase, 3-phase)
Future-proof EV Chargers
Every EV charger in the PRO CABLE and CORE family is ISO 15118 V2X ready, this tells you the hardware is already prepared for bidirectional charging. So if you want to make your setup future-proof - this is it.
And that’s not all! The new chargers are also ISO 15118 Plug & Charge ready. In the near future, you’ll be able to start charging and handle billing automatically - no RFID cards, no app - just plug in and go. A truly contactless, effortless experience, combining comfort and efficiency - at a great price-performance ratio.
At the moment, most electric cars still lack the inverter that converts DC to AC inside the vehicle - a necessary device that enables bidirectional charging in practice. But once manufacturers start adding this device, all it takes is a software update - and go-e will be ready when that moment arrives.
Smart Features & Connectivity
Just like all go-e Chargers, both the PRO and the CORE come packed with smart features – including load management, PV surplus charging, and charging with flexible electricity tariffs. All of this helps you charge your electric car as efficiently and affordably as possible, while also helping to relieve pressure on the power grid.
In terms of connectivity, both chargers support Wi-Fi, mobile connection, and LAN, ensuring reliable, smart communication at all times.
They’re also open systems, allowing for seamless integration with a wide range of backend systems, billing software, energy and load management systems, and of course the go-e Controller.
And they support all the major communication protocols – OCPP, MQTT, Modbus TCP, plus both local and cloud HTTP APIs.
go-e Backend
And here’s another highlight: the brand-new, free go-e backend. We’ll introduce it in greater detail in another video, but let’s just say - it makes it very easy to set up and manage multiple chargers at once. You’ll get RFID management, status and energy monitoring, and access to billing-relevant data - perfect for manual billing.
For automated billing, go-e cooperates with international software partners, but in general, any billing system can be integrated.
You can check your charged energy anytime - in the go-e app, via the backend, through an external system, or directly on the LED display on the wallbox. And with user identification and authorisation, every charging session can easily be linked to the right person.
Scaling potential via load management
If you’re running a fleet or managing larger parking areas, this new charger generation scales up beautifully. Even without extra hardware, you can use static load management to let several vehicles charge from the same power source - with individual priorities for each wallbox.
And if you want to go even smarter, simply add dynamic load management via the go-e Controller, OCPP, Modbus TCP, or an open API. That way, the charging power of hundreds of wallboxes can automatically adapt to the available grid capacity – so no overloads, no power cuts. You’ll also avoid peak loads and cut grid costs.
go-e also works closely with system partners offering dynamic load management via software or hardware, and, because of their open interfaces, the PRO CABLE and CORE are compatible with almost any system on the market.
Easy Installation
And when it comes to installation - it couldn’t be easier. The go-e Charger PRO CABLE and CORE are incredibly easy to install. Your electrician simply needs to mount the wall bracket, feed the power cable from the back, bottom, or top - depending on the setup - attach the charger, secure it, and that’s it! You can start charging straight away.
If you want to use the smart features, just add the wallbox to the go-e app or backend with a few clicks and configure it to your needs.
Phases & charging capacity
The PRO CABLE and CORE can both be connected single-phase or three-phase. Out of the box, charging power is limited to 11 kW, but all components are designed for up to 22 kW. So during installation, your electrician can easily increase the power to 22 kW for free - directly via the app or backend.
