Swedish electric car users go for high-quality and functionality

Swedish electric car drivers differ fundamentally from those in Finland and Denmark.

While the price of a wall box is by far the most important criterion for consumers in Norway and Denmark, Swedish e-car users are interested in quality to the same extent as cost when purchasing a wall box.

Regarding the second most important criterion, the Swedes, with their preference for the functional diversity of smart wall boxes, also differ significantly from their neighbours, who mainly favour simple operation. Around 80 % of BEV users charge at home. Around a quarter of the BEV drivers surveyed in Sweden charge their vehicle at their place of work, while in Denmark, the figure is 13 %, and in Finland, 28 %. 

Revealing details like this and many other findings shown in a study conducted on behalf of go-e among e-car users in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland in July this year, in which 3000 e-mobility respondents took part.

Susanne Palli, CEO of go-e, is therefore convinced: "The go-e Charger Gemini will meet with great interest among Swedish e-car users, because like no other comparable charger on the market, it combines the three most sought-after features as its major strengths: smart functionality, tested quality and best price."  In the Wallboxtest 2022 by ADAC/ÖAMTC and Stiftung Warentest, a go-e Charger emerged as the test winner.

The go-e study "Electromobility in the North" was conducted in July 2022 by the market research institute Gallup international and Norstat. The study aimed to determine the charging behaviour and requirements of Scandinavian e-car drivers for their chargers.
