Wallbox with SIM card: Introduction of the new go-e Charger Gemini Series 2.0
Discover the new version 2.0 of the go-e Charger Gemini series with integrated SIM card for smart charging via mobile phone connection. The upcoming go-e Charger generation offers all the intelligent functions of the currently available Gemini generation. However, thanks to the SIM card integrated in the Gemini 2.0 series, all smart features can also be used if no WiFi is available at the Charger's location. The go-e Charger Gemini 2.0 and Gemini flex 2.0 are available in versions with a maximum charging power of 11 kW and 22 kW.
The factory-fitted SIM card from go-e offers a free cellular connection for at least 5 years. An extension beyond this is possible for 12 euros (incl. VAT) per year.

The Benefits of the go-e Charger 2.0
Advantage number 1: More flexibility & reliability
In the new go-e Charger Gemini series 2.0, data is not only transmitted via WiFi, but also via the 2G and 4G LTE Cat-1 mobile phone standard or as a fallback via 2G/Edge. This means you can now also use numerous smart features outside of WiFi range, e.g. load balancing, PV surplus charging, or flexible electricity tariffs. Smooth cooperation between the go-e Charger and the go-e Controller is also guaranteed.
This means you don't have to worry about a poor Wi-Fi connection affecting your charging experience.
Important: the simple, i.e. less smart, charging process naturally also works without an internet connection.

The go-e Charger Gemini flex 2.0 with integrated SIM card is here and offers you a free cellular connectivity for at least 5 years. An extension is possible for EUR12 (incl. VAT) per year. The mobile wallbox offers up to 22 kW charging power for 1-phase and 3-phase charging from 1.4 kW. The smart wallbox with even more connectivity can be used both stationary in the wall bracket and mobile.

Advantage #2: More safety and convenience
With over-the-air updates made possible by the integrated SIM card in the wallbox, you can now access new functions and improvements even if your go-e Charger cannot connect to a WiFi network.

Thanks to the mobile phone connection, we can ensure that remote diagnostics and technical support from go-e are easier and more convenient for you if you cannot integrate your charger into the WLAN.
Note: If both Wi-Fi and the mobile connection are activated, Wi-Fi is favoured for data traffic. This combination is recommended as Wi-Fi generally offers lower latency and therefore a smoother display as well as higher speed when providing updates and enables more accurate technical support due to a higher number of possible data measurements. Mobile radio is activated by default from the outset and therefore does not need to be taken into account when setting up the go-e Charger compared to Wi-Fi. However, both modes can also be activated and deactivated separately and independently of each other in the go-e app.
Further Important Information
The mobile connection with the go-e tariff works in all EU countries as well as in UK, Switzerland, Norway and Liechtenstein, including free roaming within these countries. Like all our go-e Charger models, the go-e Chargers of the Gemini 2.0 series are compatible with charging any electric car or plug-in hybrid registered in Europe.

The go-e Charger Gemini flex 2.0 is the updated version of the mobile wallbox which was recognised as the price-performance winner in the Auto Bild and P3 Wallbox Test, and received an exceptional score of 1.3 (very good) in the Haus & Garten test. Maintaining its high quality, the mobile and our stationary wallbox now offer even better performance.
The go-e Charger Gemini 2.0 series is expected to be available from April 2024 from many go-e partners and in the go-e shop.
