Your area of responsibility
- Investigating and understanding existing standards
- Discovering new standards and country-specific requirements
- Pushing requirements to product management
- Defining the certification strategy for each of our products
- Identifying and mitigating certification risk
- Project managing the certification program
- Negotiating and planning with test houses and external partners (including witnessing)
- Organising the test campaign
- Driving engineering, product management and the wider organisation to achieve challenging certification goals
- Delivering a technical dossier documenting certification evidence
- Communication all the way to C-level
It would be great if you have
- 5+ years experience in certification of electronic products
- Expertise in the relevant standards and bodies (International Electrotechnical Commission, …)
- Experience with Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive, Low Voltage Directive, Radio Equipment Directive, Measuring Instruments Directive and associated standards
- Experience with external test laboratories such as TüV
- Knowledge of electrical engineering and product development processes
- Adept in translating standards into product requirements
- Ability to take ownership and drive people around you towards a goal
- Ability to explain complex topics simply
- Great attention to detail and capable of producing documents to a high standard
- Fluent in English at C1-Level
It would be even better if you have
- Experience with Eichrecht Certification and associated standards
- Experience in the field of EV charging solutions
- Intermediate or fluent in German
