8. Online offers on social media platforms
We offer information on several social media platforms in order to get in touch with our visitors. We expressly point out that the social media platforms collect personal data. This includes, in particular, your IP address and data collected by the cookies stored on your device. We have no influence on the processing of personal data by the operators of these social networks, which generate user profiles for advertising and market research purposes. 9. Google Analytics
If you have given your consent via the cookie settings, Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC, is used on our websites. The responsible party for users in the EU/EEA and Switzerland is Google Ireland Limited, Google Building Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland. Google Analytics uses cookies that enable an analysis of your use of our website. The information collected by means of the cookies is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there. In Google Analytics 4, the anonymisation of IP addresses is activated by default. Due to IP anonymisation, your IP address will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases the full IP address will be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. According to Google, the IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data.
We also use the technical extension ‘Google Signals’, which enables cross-device tracking. This allows an individual website visitor to be assigned to different end devices. However, this only happens if the visitor has logged into a Google service when visiting the website - e.g. in the browser or on YouTube - and has also activated the ‘personalised advertising’ option in their Google account settings. Even then, however, no personal data or user profiles are made available to us; they remain anonymous to us.
If you do not wish to use ‘Google Signals’, you can deactivate the ‘personalised advertising’ option in your Google account settings.
During your visit to the website, your user behaviour is recorded in the form of "events". Events can be, for example:
- Page views
- First visit to the website
- Start of session
- Your "click path", interaction with the website
- Scrolls (whenever a user scrolls to the end of the page (90%))
- Clicks on external links
- Internal searches
- Interaction with videos
- File downloads
- Ads viewed / clicked
- Language setting
- Your approximate location (region)
- Your IP address (in shortened form)
- Technical information about your browser and the devices you use (e.g. language setting, screen resolution)
- Your internet service provider
- The referrer URL (which website/advertising medium you used to reach this website)
Purpose of the processing
On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, and compiling reports on website activity. The reports provided by Google Analytics are used to analyse the performance of our websites.
Third country transfer
Recipients of the data are/could be: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (as processor according to Art. 28 DSGVO), Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, Alphabet Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
Insofar as data is processed outside the EU/EEA and there is no level of data protection corresponding to the European standard, we have concluded EU standard contractual clauses with the service provider to establish an appropriate level of data protection. The parent company of Google Ireland, Google LLC, is based in California, USA. A transfer of data to the USA and access by US authorities to the data stored by Google cannot be ruled out. The USA is currently considered a third country from a data protection perspective. You do not have the same rights there as within the EU/EEA. You may not have any legal remedies against access by authorities.
Storage period
The data sent by us and linked to cookies are automatically deleted after 2 months. The deletion of data whose retention period has been reached takes place automatically once a month.
Legal basis
The legal basis for this data processing is your consent pursuant to Art.6 Para.1 S.1 lit.a DSGVO.
Revocation
You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future by calling up the cookie settings and changing your selection there. The lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent up to the revocation remains unaffected by this.
For more information on the terms of use of Google Analytics and Google's data protection policy, please visit https://marketingplatform.google.com/about/analytics/terms and https://policies.google.com/.
10. Google Ads and Google Tag Manager
We use the Google Ads advertising tool to advertise our website. As part of this, we use the "Conversion Tracking" analysis service of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA on our websites. If you have accessed our website via a Google advertisement, a cookie will be stored in your browser. These so-called "conversion cookies" lose their validity after 90 days and do not serve to identify you personally. If you visit certain pages of our website and the cookie has not yet expired, we and Google can recognise that you, as a user, have clicked on one of our ads placed on Google and have been redirected to our site.
The information obtained with the help of the "conversion cookies" is used by Google to create visit statistics for our website. These statistics tell us the total number of users who clicked on our ad and which pages of our website were subsequently accessed by the respective user. However, we do not receive any information with which users can be personally identified.
You can prevent the installation of the "conversion cookies" by setting your browser accordingly, for example by using a browser setting that generally deactivates the automatic setting of cookies.
You can find Google's privacy policy in this regard at the following link: https://policies.google.com/privacy?gl=de
Our websites also use the Google Tag Manager. We use this service to manage website tags. The Google Tag Manager merely implements them. This means that no cookies are used and no personal data is collected. The Google Tag Manager triggers other tags, which in turn may collect data. However, the Google Tag Manager does not access this data. If a deactivation has been made at domain or cookie level, it remains in place for all tracking tags, insofar as these are implemented with the Google Tag Manager.
10.1. Google Remarketing
We may use Google's remarketing or "similar target groups" function. This enables us to play you personalised advertising on suitable advertising spaces on other websites, based on which interests you have shown on our website. This option is limited to a maximum of 26 months.
For this purpose, Google stores a small file with a sequence of numbers in the browsers of the website users. This number is used to record visits to the website as well as anonymised data on the use of the website. No personal data of website users is stored. If you subsequently visit another website in the Google Display Network, you will be shown advertisements that are highly likely to take into account previously accessed product and information areas. According to Google's own statements, the data collected in the course of remarketing will not be merged with your personal data. In particular, according to Google, pseudonymisation is used in remarketing.
This function is only activated after you have agreed to the use of cookies when visiting our site. You can control the setting at any time via the link "Consent settings", which you will find at the bottom of the page. Further information on Google Remarketing and Google's privacy policy can be found at: www.google.com/privacy/ads/.
11. Hotjar
We use Hotjar on our website. The provider is Hotjar Ltd, Level 2, St Julians Business Centre, 3, Elia Zammit Street, St Julians STJ 1000, Malta, Europe.
We use Hotjar to better understand the needs of our users and to optimise the offer and experience on this website. Hotjar's technology helps us to better understand our users' experiences (e.g. how much time users spend on which pages, which links they click on, what they like and don't like, etc.) and this helps us to tailor our offering to user feedback. Hotjar uses cookies and other technologies to collect data about the behaviour of our users and their devices, in particular the IP address of the device (which is only collected and stored in anonymised form during use of the website), screen size, device type (unique device identifiers), information about the browser used, location (country only) and the preferred language for displaying our website. Hotjar allows us to record your mouse and scroll movements and clicks, among other things. Hotjar can also determine how long you remain with the mouse pointer in a certain place. Hotjar uses this information to create so-called heat maps, which can be used to determine which website areas are favoured by our website visitors. Hotjar stores this information on our behalf in a pseudonymised user profile. Hotjar is contractually prohibited from selling the data collected on our behalf. As soon as we have obtained your consent (cookie consent), Hotjar is used exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 TTDSG. Consent can be revoked at any time.
Permanent deactivation of Hotjar
If you wish to deactivate data collection by Hotjar, click on the following link and follow the instructions there: https://www.hotjar.com/policies/do-not-track/ Please note that Hotjar must be deactivated separately for each browser or end device.
